NITROGEN

Nitrogen (N2) forms the major portion of the Earth’s atmosphere at 78.08% of total volume. Nitrogen gas is separated from air using fractional distillation of liquid air or by mechanical means like pressure swing adsorption.

An industrially important gas, one of the most impactful applications of Nitrogen is production of Ammonia, which led to the massive agricultural revolution for mankind.

Nitrogen is widely used as a blanketing and purging agent and to create inert atmosphere for chemical reactors in refineries and chemical process plants. In food and beverage industry, it finds applications in cold storage of foodstuffs or store biological materials. It also a significant contributor to electronic industry as a purge and carrier gas, as an inerting agent for epitaxial reactors and zero and balancing in laboratories.

Other applications include heat treatment, fire extinguishing in mines, filling of automobile tyres, shrink-fitting and cold traps to increase vacuum efficiency.

We offer Nitrogen in liquid and gaseous states in a variety of purities and concentrations.
